Scrap hoarder - A very large buff to gaining crafting materials for upgrading your legendary gear. At the 1585 wall, more crusader levels wont do anything until you improve that. NOTE: you will eventually hit a wall at level 1585, and to pass that you need to finish the CAMPAIGN tier 3 challenge on ghostbeards greed (and other tier 3 campaign challenges).

You will make so many idols back soon its worth itġ0k Training - More levels for crusaders at MAX. But when you first unlock tier 5, I would highly suggest re-specing your talent tree to dump as much into this as you can.

But the more you upgrade it, the lower the impact becomes (0% -> 100% is a much bigger jump than 400% -> 500%). Idol Champions - this is a MASSIVE buff to your earned idols. Eventually you will want to invest a lot into this, but to start i would just try to sprint the first 100 to 200 levels just so you can get your formation setup quickly and leave it to run with taskmasters

(Optional) Sprint Mode - an optional talent that will speed up the early levels of free play modes ONLY. (less important) Kilo Leveling - its a good DPS boost, but so expensive that you cant invest much into it early on But always buy whichever crusader upgrade is cheapest between the 2 Just like with extra training, you will eventually max this out. Superior Training - your 2nd source of extra crusader levels once you are hitting MAX. It doesnt sound like much at first glance, but 10% or 20% of your gold find is usually billions! And it will only keep going up. Golden Age - One of the biggest DPS buffs available. Idols Over Time - another big buff to earning more idols. Absolutely mandatory to get the highest level new crusaders from events! Top Priority upon reaching tier 4 Head Start - extremely helpful one-time-purchase buff that will give you a headstart on events - your primary source of new and better crusadersįourth Times the Charm - unlocks Tier 4 and 5 objective (and all future tiers they add). Triple Tier Trouble - unlocks tier 3 objectives, mandatory.

But for a low cost it can be a big damage buff early onĭeep Idol Scavenger - more idols, more buffs, more talentsĮxtra training - you'll need to max this out eventually, its your cheapest source of levels once you start hitting MAX level with crusadersįast Learners - 90% faster xp gain = more damage, much quicker Ride the Storm and Storm's building - bigger bonuses from Storm Rider buff, but these are really only important once you have a taskmaster activating Storm Rider 24/7. Not essential, but you should be using lots of buffs early on to finish missions and unlock more Prospector - more epic crafting materials are important, but not a priorityĮndurance Training - make your consumable buffs last longer. Overenchanted (both of these are assuming you are doing missions and getting EPs for your units)ĭoing it again - unlocks tier 2 objectives, which is mandatory Sharing is Caring - Lots more EP as you unlock crusaders, and therefore more damage Impatience (not that essential, but helpful early on for mission EP grinding)Įfficient Crusading - more idols means more upgrades. Super Clicks - more click damage is okay, but much better when you have taskmasters clicking for you

Set Bonus - your dps should always have 3 full slots, so this is straight dps buff This was shared by Hinterland Studio some time ago, and doesn’t include the new Forlorn Muskeg region that sits to.Just a general guide assuming you only have the first 2 tiers unlocked:

This first map is a map of the entire world that makes up The Long Dark. Forlorn Muskeg hasn't been added, and it looks like there's room for another region north of Mystery Lake.

“This will be our first region to feature a two-part environmental puzzle of sorts,” Hinterland’ say. The Long Dark’s Survival Mode was the whole game before Hinterland began releasing story episodes, with only a couple distinct explorable zones in the sandbox at first. It has the appearance of what a prepper's bunker might look like, with only a hatch visible on the surface. Its location varies from game to game and it has set spawn locations when you start a new game (so you can't save and quit and reload your game to try to find a bunker in a specific spot). A Bunker is a randomly spawned structure in The Long Dark. A railway crosses the region and is mainly used in the summers supporting the local timber operation and lakeside recreation. The region is named after Mystery Lake, a lake that feeds into Carter Hydro Dam. Mystery Lake is one of the primary regions in The Long Dark and the first available for play in the Sandbox.
